How Melbourne Echo Clinic works.
Melbourne Echo Clinic operates as a mobile echocardiography service. We bring hospital-grade ultrasound equipment and experienced cardiac sonographers into partner clinics on scheduled days. Patients attend their appointment locally, our sonographer performs the scan on-site, and the images are reviewed and reported by our cardiologist within 24–48 hours. Reports are sent directly to the referring doctor.

Every echocardiogram performed by Melbourne Echo Clinic is:
- Undertaken by a cardiac sonographer accredited by the Australian Sonographer Accreditation Registry (ASAR)
- Performed on hospital-grade portable ultrasound equipment
- Reviewed and reported by an experienced consultant cardiologist with subspecialty training in cardiac imaging
- Delivered under a service accredited by the National Association of Testing Authorities (NATA)

Melbourne Echo Clinic currently operates at partner clinics across Victoria, from Williamstown in Melbourne’s west to Dromana on the Mornington Peninsula, with sites in Blackburn South and Cranbourne East in the south-east and Moe in the Gippsland region.
Our network continues to grow. We regularly onboard new partner practices to bring cardiac imaging closer to the communities they serve.

For referring doctors and partner practices.
Melbourne Echo Clinic welcomes referrals from all GPs and specialists. Referrals do not need to be site-specific. Patients simply nominate the clinic most convenient for them when booking.
We also welcome enquiries from general practices interested in hosting a Melbourne Echo Clinic service. Our mobile model requires minimal space and no equipment investment from the host practice.
